DEEPRED

Concept study

A dive light whose website shows why you need one: the sea absorbs colours by depth, and the beam brings them back.

What we built

Scroll is depth: red is gone at 5.6 m, orange at 9.9 m and yellow at 27.1 m, calculated from published data.

DEEPRED. The opening: inside the beam of the R1 the coral has its true colour.

At 40 m the torch switches on. A pointer or a finger moves the beam, and the red returns where it falls.

The R1 is our own 3D model, taken apart by scroll, with its specs set on it.

A concept study: the brand DEEPRED, the R1 and every figure about it are invented.

Results

Depth and colour

The loss of colour is calculated from published absorption data for water (Pope and Fry, 1997) and held by 13 unit tests (22 October 2026).

We state none. The brand does not exist, so there are no customers and no figures.
